Got some nice guys on here
« on: January 10, 2012, 04:02:00 PM »
Today I gave my son Jeff his birthday gift, my favorite bow of all time, an early 60s Damon Howatt Hunter, stringer, arrows, glove, armguard and a hip quiver.

The neat thing is one of our tradgangers, americanhunter7, made the quiver for him free of charge. I had mentioned I was in the market for a used one and he volunteered to make this beautiful hip quiver. Needless to say Jeff was thrilled with the whole package and was touched that a total stranger would make a quiver for him.

The goal is to get him out of his female dominated house and to shoot with me more. He's shot this bow before in a 3-D shoot and is a natural shot with perfect form.

Thanks again to americanhunter7.

Kudos to americanhunter7 for helping out Reddogge and his son.

Looking forward to some shooting at Baltimore by the sounds of it.

Congrats Richard and hope you and your son get out to shoot often.

Plumber, he can probably beat me. You haven't seen him shoot yet. It's disgusting how someone who hasn't shot since he was Jake's age can pick up a bow and shoot lights out.

Altiman94, that is from his back deck but he doesn't own that property, it's just background.

Congrats on the new hunting buddy!

I can speak double for tradgangers being one of a kind and generous.

This deer season I became close to a two brother trad deer slayin team (23feetupandhappy is one the other is not on here.. yet..) They got ahold of their brother in Montana and had me a custom antler handle knife just for getting more involved in trad.

You guys are great!!

Outstanding gesture John.....again.  One of the most generous individuals in Trad land.

Now....how 'bout some closeups of that hip quiver?

Ed (Plumber), Jeff can pretty much near outshoot Richard (and that is sayin' somethin'), and he is just as quik witted as the old retired guy. I got to shoot a round last year at Baltimore with 'em, and he was like a duck in the water. Fit right in.

Now he has his own bow to embarrass us with even further.     :archer2:

Happy B-Day Jeff. Please lose all your arrows before Baltimore, I don't think I can take any more humiliation.
