Maybe this will help get your hopes up. The first pic was taken off my camera. That group went by at 5 yards, me with filled tags. I did end up with a couple though. You are in for a treat, Tuttlik is a great outfitter.

ummmm!uh,uh,uuuh, uhhh!I can't catch my breath. That is what I'm lookin for . What a caribou!I'm just trying to get ready for this deal.I jumped on board late.I can't wait. How much walking can a hunter expect to do each day?I am really concerned about the footwear.I walked smooth out of a pair of boots once on an elk hunt.

I was in Camp Minto. The bou were just over the hill behind camp. Minimal walking for us. I had Felt lined Nokia rubber boots & Danner Gortex Pronghorn boots. Seemed fine for how we hunted.

I think CJ is calling the guys who are going to be in camp with us..from Missouri, and then will send us all an email to coordinate so we don't end up with all sauce and no spaghetti noodles!

Mike,

I figure we can stop somewhere along the way to get food. C J will probably let us know what we need to bring. I will be talking to him sometime this week.

Don, this sounds very similar to the trip I was on in the DVD.  Eight of us in camp for seven days so we decided that each of us would prepare one evening meal for everyone, then we were on our own for breakfast and lunch.  It worked great.  For my dinner, we had rice pilaf, corn and green beans, fresh lake trout and caribou tenderloin fried in butter.  You guys are gonna have a great time.

Couple words of advice. Let them get close, dont move & they will! I shot mine at 5 yards & 7 yards 30 seconds apart.

More often than not the groups follow one another. When you see one group go through, let them go & move close to that spot. That seems obvious, it is. I saw bou follow in the footsteps of others for 2 days.

It is impossible to  run faster than they walk. I wasted a lot of energy trying to get ahead of groups of big bulls. Glad nobody had film of that, must have looked funny.

Quality raingear is an absolute must. The crappier the weather, the more animals we saw.It will rain, lots... & lots.

 Have fun, you will!

Well I just got through mapping our route and looks like from Texas through Arkansas to pick up Brad and Mike then north east through Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, north through Michigan to Port Huron, cross into Canada on 402 to 401 to Toronto and north on Canada 11 to 66 and east to 109 and north to Raddison. Look at the map guys and see if that looks like the best route to ya'll. Looks to be the shortest to me. I wish we were leaving tomorrow.

CJ,

Where are ya'll planning on going in. Looks like a straight shot from Nashville to Port Huron to me.
