Wyoming Antelope
« on: January 13, 2012, 02:25:00 PM »
I have zero PP for Wyoming antelope right now, but plan on starting to build them this year. I have bow hunted antelope a few times here in ND but our herd is way down and the season has been closed for 2 years. I would like to find a zone that either has good public access or ranches that could be had for a reasonable access fee. Any ideas on what zones to look for? I am not too interested in trophy quality, more interested in an area with good numbers for multiple stalks a day. I am planning on doing this as a solo hunt as I can't find anyone in my hunting circle that is interested. Thoughts?

You might want to check into Montana I think that they have a draw archery license that you have good odds of drawing. The license is good for anywhere in the state that there is an antelope season.

Area 57 in the Red Desert produces some the the best goats in the state plus it is mostly public.

the northeast corner always has great numbers, but they were really down last year.  that and a good amount of private land, but if you know of good amounts of public up there you will find antelope.
is it September yet??
