Schafer Silvertip options
« on: January 13, 2012, 04:05:00 PM »
I'm looking at getting on "the list" and one option I've never seen is the radius stripes in the handle of a recurve(3 pcs) If I could get a few guys to post up a few pictures I would be forever thankful.

Radius stripes?  Do you mean accent wave or does Dave do a curved stripe instead of his usual srtaight?

Yep radius stripes not the flare. I called Beth and she emailed me a pic.  It looks pretty sharp but after I looked them over it's just not classic Silvertip.

I have one on order and it will have the radius stripe.   Cost more than straight accent stripe, but less than the flare.

smooth, stable, fast and, beautiful, no matter what the woods and stripes and flares. I highly recommend the checkering.

I second the checkering on these fantastic bows!It is right whatever you choose you'll have a first class bow,I like all the designs but the flare is my prefered or the classic straight line.

Definitely get the checkered grip. I could not imagine mine without it. They are absolutely awesome bows!

I think a checkered grip is in order.  I'm looking at a charcoal riser with quilted maple  limbs, fast flight and checkered grip.  Not a super fancy bow but one that's still nice to look at.  Oh yeah 62"  56@30"
