A lot of you guys are absolutely artists on the finish of all those beauties...I'm always impressed!   It was'nt too long ago (it seems to me) there just wasn't too many guys building selfbows and all-wood bows.  The internet has really brought us all together and revived an almost dead skill and artform.   Always fun seeing all the fine bows...makes me become a better bowyer myself....thanks!

If anyone is interested in learning the skill there are a couple of gatherings each year where you can walk in with nothing more than the desire and "no fear of failure".

You too can walk away with a bow made by your own hand under the watchful eyes of some masters and just plain good old boys and ladies that know their stuff.

Check out trad events and gatherings.

Tree makes some of the finest shooting Osage bows I've shot to date. They are mighty fine to look at as well!

By the way I kept posting my pics here even with my computer problems because I didn't feel the recent "Haversack Manpurse" thread should have more pages than a self bow thread.

I like how you think too Joe....lol

Selfbow threads should always have more pages than man purses...lol

I still have it in my head to build just one more.

Mine never were more than just a stick that would bend enough to cast an arrow.

The only thing that would cause anyone to see any beauty in mine was just what beauty God gave the wood itself.

The bows I've seen on here would put most of the ones I ever made to shame.

Great job!!!

God bless,Mudd

PS: After drooling over these, maybe I'd better just save the shoulder for the shooting of them...lol
