Barbary sheep & NM stumping
« on: January 16, 2012, 09:12:00 PM »
Got out today to hunt barbary sheep (aoudad).
After glassing    this cone  for a while I thought I could see one in the trees so I started hiking up and glassing as I went. Did some New Mexico stump shooting too.

The only sheep I found was a carcass. But I loved the time out.

Then the storm started moving in. Got to see a snowbow.

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Dude,

Can you actually believe where you were back so few months ago as you sat taking those pictures?

Amazing! God is definitely good all the time!

This country makes me realize I've got 63 year old legs.

That Terrain looks steep.(did I spell it correct?).How were you planning to approach the animal if you found one? There seems to be no cover.

that blows my mind. desert country like that you would expect to be stinking hot but seeing snow in the desert like that seems strange to me. what's the altitude there?
