Hood foam and target block
« on: January 22, 2012, 07:16:00 AM »
O.k. as a Tradbowhunter we are always looking for ways we can use a product we see while shopping in those "Got Everything but Trad Archery Stuff" Stores correct?
Well as many here know yesterday I was in one of them stores " :) " and I was in the excercise section looking for ways I could use or relate an item for trad archery somehow which always seems to be my focus when I'm with the wife and she wonders off with the kids in the cart...Well I see this set of Foam dense Yoga blocks in a 2 pack and I picked it up and squeezed them and instantly thought "Quiver foam" material and a cheap supply cause I could cut this on the bandsaw and shape on my bench grinder if I ever need any again...Well I started a post yesterday about it and had a ton of people ask me where to get these blocks and most of us have walked right past them for years and never knew what they were for...I don't do "Yoga" but that block thing cought my eye as a useful product for my Quivers...Well here's another use you all will like...I searched this stuff thismorning for the super Block and quess what....I saw a block that was 61/2"x 91/4" x 13-1/2" thick and it's under $30.00 a block and I thought  "KABAMMM" as this bright light bulb hit my brain a target cause this stuff was as dense as a Rineheart i8 target..Just paint a bullseye on each side and get your arrows out and start shooting....I'm certain the Bigger super blocks would have to be ordered but I saw these and had to share with my tradgang family so we all can share this treasure...God Bless and hope I didn't step over the line for sharing this imfomation and if so please let me know if I did wrong...I thought about it and thought it did have something to do with Trad Archery! Sounds like a great broadhead  target. have you found a place to order the big ones from?

Search  " Yoga Super Block " and you'll find it.

Keefer-way to go! I think sharing information with guys/gals at this site is what it is all about! Please let us know where you can get these blocks. The targets these days are so busy, i.e. too many bulls eyes! I want a simple target with 1 bulls eye! It makes it easier to focus, if you know what I mean! Thanks.

Is that for just 1 block or two blocks?  What I saw yesterday at  "  :)  " was $12.94 for two of them together..A Super block that is 6 -1/2x9- 1/4x13-1/2  was just around $29.94.00 they even have wedges that can be cut to fit a bow quiver...

It was for one...you can't post links here for non sponsors. So try "Yogadirect.com. There were a bunch more also.

I was just making sure you were aware of that Mike cause I thought it was for only 1 block when I searched there...So far what I seen at "  :)  " was the cheapest for 2 blocks!  ;)

I picked up some yoga blocks today at my local superstore.  Cut it to fit inside my backquiver to hold my broadheads. Guys, this stuff works perfect!  Thanks to Keefer, we now have a really cheap alternative.  I still have enough to do about 4-5 quivers and it was only $13.
