Quill

I have had the leading edge of the quill bite my finger a time or two when shooting and was wondering if shaving down the front inch or so of the quill before gluing it on would help? Anyone else ever do this? Thanks for any information,  Ron

When this happened to me (the quill cut my bow hand near the first nuckle) I rotated my nocks and add a little more fletch tite glur to the pointed leading quill edges.    :archer2:
