Grizzly Stick Sitka

OK, I bought some Sitkas. Trying to get them to fly from my 55lb Kadiak recurve. No matter how much weight I put up front, they have just a little wobble. I've checked and double checked for feather interference, and that isn't an issue. Raised and lowered nock points and brace height until I'm convinced that isn't it.  1920s, 2018s,2115(with 200gr head) and 65 spine woodies all fly fine.
How do you tune these goofy things?

How's nock tightness, John?

Who fletched them?  Did they check them for the stiff side?

I just sold a dozen sitkas for the same reason.  I just could'nt get them to fly right.  I bareshafted until I got the tip weight where they were slightly weak, but when I shot a fletched arrow I never could get it to shoot without seeing a slight wobble.  I thought I found the stiff spine seam and then as a last resort, I tried rotating the nock and shooting with each feather out, cock feather up, you name it.  I could'nt tell any difference no matter how I turned them.

With a 55lb bow, you should not need too much weight up front with the sitkas.  Try going the other way.   You may have too much weight.

Charlie, I filed the nocks to get just enough tightness to hold the arrow. I fletched them, and didn't check for a "Stiff side" You would think that isn't it, because at least one of them should be fletched on that side. Jon, I've shot 125, 145, 175, and 200gr points.

The seam in the grizzlysticks can be a problem, I switched from the stock nock to the Easton unibushing and G nock so I could rotate them while bare shafting each shaft fine tuning each arrow before marking the cock feather spot and fletching. Rotating the nock had a dramatic effect on spine for me. Like Ed likes to say, they fly like darts.

hmmmm. Well, I gave up. I like the way the 65sp Elite woodies fly anyway.
