2012 Annual Rockwood Forest stump shoot
« on: January 23, 2012, 12:57:00 PM »
Hey guys,

Last year was a great time, and a great bunch of guys that got together for the winter/spring stump shoot off Rt. 29, at Rockwood N.Y.
It's not too early to start thinking about doing it again. Who's in?
Once we get this going, we can move this thread over to Trad Events.
Last year we did it at the end of April.

Izzy, your sons and friends are certainly welcome.

I know it is early, but we can pick a date based on availability of the most shooters if we start early.

Ron, Charlie, and all spread the word.

OK folks it's almost here....this Sunday April 29th, go to the event page and get all the info. If your coming from a distance, record your mileage to have a chance at the longest traveled prize. Also it should be cool weather, but just in case bring some bug repellent. I was out this AM stump'n and the black files were out! There is a ROLL CALL post on the event page.......hope to see you there!!

Perfect day for stumping. I think we had about 22 people by my last count. We killed lots of stumps, and even some road apples.
Thanks everyone for coming, and especially for those who traveled so far to get there.
Hope to do it again after bug season.
For those photographers in our midst; lets see some of those pictures.

Frenchmanny won the longest distance traveled. For that effort he got a side Quiver that was custom made by famed artisan and leather worker..........me      :notworthy:
