Does anyone have a picture of a bow paul made or possible one he owned himself.  Just like looking.
Do or do not.  There is no try.

I just received a 60" 59#@ 29" 1 piece beauty that Paul built in 1983. It is to be one of the Silent Auction Items that has been donated for the up coming 50th Anniversary "Professional Bowhunters Society" Banquet to be held March 22-25, in Portland Oregon.

Come out and join in on the fun in Portland and I'll not only let you see it   :wavey:

I used to own this one, bought it from Paul Brunner back in the late 80's. It was the serial # 10 bow made by Paul himself, for Paul Brunner. Called the Running Ram,Humorous writing saying "May the wind always be to your BACK!".
It was very short, and 86#@27" .
When Schaf died, I gave the bow to Dave Windauer.
Then years later, a friend of mine's husband had a bad bout with cancer that drained them financially. Dave and Beth auctioned the bow and gave the $$ to my friends family. Love to know where it ended up?

That's cool David, I remember reading somewhere about that bow, too funny. There is a thread that I posted a while ago about originals by Paul. Can't search on my phone too easily but the thread is out there.

That bow sounded like it really has done some  good things, besides hunting. Neat story!

I'll try and upload some of paul's Bows.       Paul built this in 1984, Riser is Arizona Mesquite w/bloodwood accent stripe. This Bow is in my Avatar W/ Bear.       Same Bow Before Checkering, with arrow rest that Paul used.     Built in 1986, Arizona Mesquite riser.    Built in 1992 62"Grey action wood. I like physically light bows. Bear 2010.  Paul holding a one piece Purpleheart 'Tip he had just finished building for his Dad 1984.

I've had several Pm's about the arrow rest in the black & white Pic. Instead of responding individually, I'll respond here.
The rest is a modified Golden Eagle rubber rest ,with the bottom 1/3 of the finger sliced of with a razor blade. Paul also used the jennings rubber rest which had a slightly shorter finger and also had to be modified if shooting arrows with Vanes. Since they are getting difficult to find, i also use the Para Rest covered with thin leather ( see pic ). Mike will call you shortly.   This 'Tip was built in 1985, the white string is the same material Jack Howard used. This bow still has the original golden eagle rest that I bought the Bow with.58" 65#

Mark, I was going to take some indoor pics but I'm going out to check trail cam's and stump shoot tomorrow afternoon. So I'm planning on taking some pics of the bow then. Thanks for the reminder!
