Last day of the Squirrel season...
« on: January 31, 2012, 10:11:00 AM »
Went out this morning to see if I could get a squirrel or two while stumping close to the house...  Ran into this barker about 20 minutes into my stroll... about 15 yards off the side of a tree.  Big Jim Big-3 strikes again!

Hey Izzy, he was maybe 5 feet up the tree and the shot was down hill...  Scared him first off as I was walking, saw what tree he went up... threw a stick over to my left closer to the tree he was in.  Pretty much all I saw of him was his head and shoulders from around the backside of the tree as he circled a little to much to try and find the source of that noise... to late for him!

That's a great shot...especially with the size of the broadhead...good darn shootin for sure.  Tasty.
Nice Foxy.

We have a few weeks left on our season.  I plan to take advantage of some nice weather this weekend..bet the tree rats will be running like crazy. All I have on my farm is fox squirrels..makes it hard to take a grey.  New twice as many for a good stew.
