God granted my prayers

Got into the woods a little later than I wanted to. Left the tree stand in my truck, and just brought my $4 foam pad. So I sat behind a beech tree, that I sat behind the night before. I shuffled around a lot trying to get comfortable and make sure I had clearance to draw and move. I was unsure of where I was sitting but stuck with it. Then I began to think of all the things going on in my life. So I began to pray and thank god for all the things in my life and that if he could see to having a deer come in front of me and guide my arrow to it. Within seconds my prayers were answered. I heard something far off to my right and then I saw movement. One deer. Two deer. Three deer. They came down from a wooded patch into the gulley. I watched the lead deer come in pretty fast and I prepared for the shot. The lead deer was almost in my shooting lane and stop about a foot short, then the second deer came to the same spot and pounced forward like a cat after it's toy mouse. I almost laughed. It stopped where it landed and went to get a snack from the ground and I drew back the bow and next thing I can remember is watching the lazer nock lit up flying towards the deer. I saw it hit it right in the lungs and it jolted, then took of on a dead sprint. It ran up the gully got about 60yrds in 6 seconds and rolled. I instantly started to cry and thanked the lord for the gift he gave me. It had been since nov 2008 since I shot my last deer and my first trad deer. I need to thank my friend Luke Shaw for allowing me to stay at his house, hunt his property, and for being a great friend. And most importantly God and my loving and supporting family.
I used a 51# Tree prickly ash longbow that was won at the Great Ohio Rabbit Hunt. Beman ICS Bowhunter 300 with 30%foc 100gr brass insert 125gr broadhead adapter 165gr ace broadhead and 35gr footing carbon express lazer nock 730gr total weight. KOM AND SLEEPING INDIAN CLOTHES ARE AWESOME.
