Mitch, the number one choice so far is cocobola and yew.  For sheer resale value, you should use that.

Cocobolo is a great wood because the weight it adds to the riser,it matchs well with everything,my choices are Red Eastern Cedar,Juniper and Yew.

My longbow is Cocobolo riser & nose with Spalted Sycamore veneers.

While cocobolo goes with about anything, cocobola and yew make a great combination without looking over done.

KennyM (Kenny's Custom Archery) has some "angle cut" action wood in desert camo that may look pretty slick together. I am doing something similar but in reverse...I will post and let you know how it turns out.

Mitch--those black limba veneers on your old RER CXR would look good on a coco riser if your tastes trend toward darker woods.

If you go with one of the lighter woods, a contrasting overlay is nice.  Here is a pic of my Treadway Black Forest with bamboo limbs and a leopardwood overlay on a reddish coco riser. (Sorry the pic has the bows somewhat in their own shadow).

Hey Gater1 , Photobucket pics of my Cocobolo and Tiger Myrtle limb veneers can be seen on BW web site and page five (Greybark`s New Bow) . Good balance of colours in riser and limbs . Really pleased and shoots as good as it looks .
Cheers from the West Coast of Canada...
