Hi Guys,
I use to work for a screen-printing shop, and I use to sell custom traditional archery tees at events. Although some like the practical nature of pockets, in general pocket tees are not nearly as popular among the masses. The biggest problem I see with a pocket tee would be having to put the main logo on the back. Having a plain tee (as seen from the front) in all of the group photos and trophy shots from this hunt isn't as appealing to me. Even a smaller left chest or pocket logo on the front won't show up well. I'd much rather see the main design printed large on the front as a more overt display of camaraderie that would then be in most of the photos. Plus a lot of Hill shooters use back quivers so the logo would be covered on the back, whereas there would just be a narrow strap across the front.
If the decision is to go with pocket tees and use the main logo as a full back print instead of a full front print, I'd be happy to come up with a smaller 'Hill Gang' logo for the front, but I would not suggest trying to put it on the pocket (those are notoriously hard to print well). In that case, the smaller logo should be on the opposite side of the pocket. However, doing an image on both sides of the shirt, regardless of size, would make the shirts a lot more expensive because it would require additional screen and set up fees in addition to the extra printing fees.
Finally, printing the hunters’ names on the shirts sounds cool, but I don't think it is practical. Life happens…many hunters who seem fully onboard now may not be able to make it when he time comes, others may be able to last minute, and there is just no way the list would be accurate and those who come late to the party might feel left out. I don't think it would be worth the hassle to have names on there.
Those are just my humble opinions and I'm happy to continue to help with art support in anyway I can no matter what is deiced.
