Well Pat, I would in a heartbeat, but my daughter will choose Tannehill and she gets what she wants when it comes to archery stuff.  :)

When we were organizing this hunt I was surprised how much attention it received from everyone as well.

After speaking with some of the the guys that shoot Hill style it became apparent the reason so many guys were interested. This will be the first time ever that all Hill style shooters hunt together form Tradgang, and most of the guys on Tradgang or more interested in hunting than shooting 3D's for score.

I hope that everyone can make it to the hunt because we would finally be getting to met everyone that shares the same passion of hunting with an American longbow.

I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone on that list, and seeing all those Hill style bows in one place.

Please understand Darren, I would rather hunt as well but my daughter is not ready to hunt but does love shooting 3d. If that keeps her interested them that is where I will go.

One other thought, I know some that are planning to attend are vendors that attend the shoot in Tannehill.

Sometimes it isn't only about what you might prefer to do, but what you have to do.

Regards,

Steve-

My post wasn't directed to you, I was only commenting in the fact that us tradgangers seem to be more interested in hunting, so the Tannehill shot shouldn"t effect the hunt.

You need to enjoy the kids when there small. My 15 year old daughter still remembers when I did the father and daugher dance when she was 7. When the song plays in the radio she reminds me thats our dance song.

Darren,  all of those American longbows, and the folks with the passion for hunting with said bows, and the fellowship that will come with it, will be an event that one will never forget. Looking forward to warm fires, great stories, and chasing pigs! If asked, am i going hog hunting with the gang?  Does a fat baby poop? Hell yeah! I just checked the list of names, Wow! Im impressed. I recognize a few, but plan on shaking hands with all. Thanks to all of you who are working hard to put this hunt together, this will be one for the books!      :campfire:

Sounds like we might need a circus tent.

Good news and bad news. Bad News: My wife and I need to come off the list of those attending. Good News: I am attending a Caribou hunt this September in Quebec. This will however exaust all of my vacttion time.

Tom-

I won't take you off the list just yet, it's still a long way away, circumstances may change. You might win the lottery or something.

Killdear-
I noticed that you've been on here a couple times, do you want me to add you to the list?

Count me in! Most likely be jumping in with Louie Lucido and Steve Turay. Gotta line up a Hill Style bow from Steve. Sounds like an awesome time!
Northern Mist to the core. Archery is meant to be simple. A stick, a string, a shaft and meat on the table.

Do they know you guys are coming to eradicate all the pigs in south georgia?  :D  That's a lot of folks.

I'm intrigued, but I'm not sure if I can make it or not. My first longbow (Bamabow Hunter model) should arrive within a the next month or two. I assume it qualifies for this hunt. But, this will be my first year hunting with traditional gear. And I've never hunted hogs.

One other thing, would anyone be opposed to me bringing a hawk? I'm a falconer so I fly a bird almost daily throughout the small game season. I'd probably just chase a few squirrels during the middle of the day or something like that. I'll be breaking in a new hawk this season, so I'll have to see what happens with it between now and Feb.

Anyway, it sounds like a blast, hogs or no hogs.

eminart, that sounds real cool, I'd love to see it. As long as no one minds.
