How about some place a little further north for next year. This year it's south, so next year it's north.Only fair for everyone involved. How about the Adirondacks for early Bear season which is in September. Good fishing for Brook trout and Kokanee salmon as well. Beautiful rustic land.    :bigsmyl:

Just a thought-it doesn't hurt to ask

I hear ya Chris, Nothimg like having a good bow hunting adventure to look forward too.Makes life a little more worth living for us tradies. The beauty of the Hill Gang hunt is that it doesn't have to cost a great deal, with rough camping, and everyone pitching in and helping each other out. Makes it affordable for most everybody ( even me ). The size of the group promotes a safe event as well. All aspects of this arrangement are positives, with no negatives as far as I can see. Here's looking to the horizon!

I'm bring your old Wesley with me for a back up, or in case someone needs a bow. She's not gorgeous but still fires them in there.

Jeff and Chris,

I may have just found us a place to hunt javelinas in Texas. A guy I work with and hunt with told he has 19000 acres in Pecos TX. He lease the land and never thought they had anything to hunt on the land because their were no trees. It looks like javelina country.

I set up my tent today and started gathering my gear.  I'd say I'm looking forward to it.

Bob Burton emailed me, told me if you're 65 or older, resident or non-resident, you don't need to buy a WMA permit in Ga.

Gang-
Today is a sad day. I am not gonna come to join the Hog Hunt due to job issues. To me this means I have to postbone my FIRST REAL HUNT to a later date. May be some day.....
The worst part of it is, that I can`t meet you in person. And Darren... again I am more than thankful for your kind offer and hospitality!!!
In the meantime I enjoy our dummy hunts at freezing temperatures in Germany. Do you recognise the back quiver? It`s one of Nates and I am more than happy with it. Fits like a glove. THANK YOU NATE!!!
Guys, have fun and go get `em!!   :campfire:
