What # bow do you shoot?
« on: July 23, 2007, 04:08:00 PM »
I was curious whether most of us on here fell above or below the 50# mark, at their draw length, for the bow they shoot most often. So what poundage bow is everyone shooting?

Right now my bows are 50-52#.  I'll be selling the 50-52# bows and have several on order that have target weights of 48#.  That is what I'm most comfortable with shooting, well let me put it this way, that is what my shoulders, elbow and string fingers are most comfortable with shooting!

“instinctive archery” is more like playing the violin. Without practice you may remember the mechanics, but you will not be a virtuoso.

From 50 to 60 pounds depending on when and what I am hunting. Most of my 3-d shooting will be between 50 and 55 pounds.

There was a poll on this just a month or so ago. You could probably find it.

Right now, I'm shooting 64-75 pounds, but I'm gunning for something around 80...have heavier, but I don't hunt with them...
