If Curt feels up to it, I would love to hear his rendition of the event....we stood shoulder to shoulder for most of it, but split up for about the last 15 minutes trying to better our odds of one of us getting a shot, or steering the group to the other.
My rendition isn't any different than Terry's. It was one of those hunt situations that you couldn't make up in your wildest dreams!
The leaf litter was so dry and noisy that it sounded like we were about to get run over at any time, but they were actually further away than they sounded.
I don't know how many times I turned my light on that night just knowing any second I was going to draw and shoot....but it just never came together.
When it was finally over, and they all faded away, on both sides of us, it got so quiet. We almost had to ask ourselves..."did all that really just happen?"
Another incredible experience logged into the old gray matter!
We never did make it back to look for my arrow....but you already know how that turned out the next morning
Thank you guys for the congrats!
Some turn of events on that hog, I would have bet my house that I missed!
Gregg, She'd only gone about 75yds tops.
