I think it is where someone had a pop up blind and cleared all the leaves from inside the blind.

Is it a hawk scrape perhaps? Is there a pecking branch above it?   :D  It does look man made though,sitting spot for a hunter.

Looks like a bare spot on the ground with a Hawk feather in it....    .... glad I could be of so much help......not.......

Seems like most birds dust. I think it's likely that had something to do with it. Maybe after a hunter started the spot.
