Just signed up, new to archery.  Currently have two recurves at home and a longbow on the way. Always been into guns but after shooting bows a few times I think guns just took a second place.

Welcome aboard!
“instinctive archery” is more like playing the violin. Without practice you may remember the mechanics, but you will not be a virtuoso.

I'm Looking for a some new strings, who makes a good one here?
One for Ben Peason Cougar, old one measures 56 inches, with that one I could get brace height to 8,stopped there because I wanna get new string, change rest and strike plate before I get to far into tuning.
Other for a longbow I'm waiting for.  Any suggestions?  Figured I'd check here before I got one somewhere else.
Thanks for the warm Welcome!

Welcome! All of our string-maker sponsors are top-notch, but I have been getting mine from Oliverstacy (Josh Sowerby). Look in the Sponsors classifieds forum.

Mt. pleasant, not far from gilmer.  Already sold one for bows.  I find it easier, to explain to my wife, to move capitol around instead of actually spending it!

Welcome - to a very nice place.

Strings can be had from several sponsors - have gotten mine from bowman, SBD, and Oliverstacy - all good strings.  Check the sponsors classifieds.
Enjoy the hunt!  - Mitch
