Happy Birthday Ol' Wise One.   :notworthy:
I'm still shooting a couple of your originals and started my Trad Quest with an early 70's model Grizzly.    :campfire:

I borrowed this from 3Rivers archery site, hope they don't mind me transferring it here. I'm sure they wouldn't mind paying tribute to such an icon of Trad Archery by me posting this pic here.

I enjoy your old videos.
“instinctive archery” is more like playing the violin. Without practice you may remember the mechanics, but you will not be a virtuoso.

I'm forever grateful Fred was who he was. Can you imagine a world in which he never existed? Gotta pop a DVD in now while I crest some arrows...

He was definitely a huge factor in shaping the world of trad archery as we know it today. Had it not been for Fred and his inovation for building bows who knows how things would have turned out?
Lots of other greats deserve a ton of credit also, but too many to mention and it's not their birthday.   :archer:

I will have to watch an old Mr. Bear video.   Happy Birthday.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

My mid 70s Super Grizzly has been hanging up since about late November.

I broke it out today. Fred made some fantastic bows. She ain't a looker much anymore, but she still shoots great!

That is my daughter, Hannah's birthday too.  She is lucky I didn't know.  Might have named her Fred...
