We found a shed from a buck I filmed at very close range this past November. Found the shed exactly where I first saw the buck before getting the camera on him.

Thanks Ryan, now if I can just find his other side. I have his horns for 4 years now.

82" plus lets just guess and say the other side is 80" then add a modest 18" spread and you're looking at a 180" whitetail right there...Very nice! Hope you find the other side.

Don't I remember you saying earlier in the year Travis you had a close encounter with him and then he disappeared?

Yeah TJ, I had him beded 50 yards across the fence on the neghbors ground during rifle season and i couldn't get him to cross the fence. Should of just shot him, they shoot stuff off our land all the time. Maybe doing the rite thing will pay off next year and I can get him with my bow. Hopefully I can get out tonight and look for the other side.

Great thread.  Wish I had all my pics loaded on PhotoBucket, but I haven't got time tonight.  Some monsters you guys are finding.  I did find a 78 2/8" shed this spring that I do have trail cam pics of from the fall.  Have searched several hours for the second side but no luck yet.

Yes I think he was 4 1/2 years old this past fall. His antlers are very dense, but has short beams. We know his haunts, but we are sure he knows ours too. Ha! This buck has similar genetics to one we were after a year ago. He has the style to just keep getting bigger. In other words, I bet his 7 year old rack will blow away his 5 year old rack. LOL   Stuff for dreams. Me or my brother would love to get him next year though. Ha!

Great looking deer Mike. He will look even better in the next year or two with 20 or 30 inches more horn on his head. Good luck, hope you get a shot at him next year.

4 point- He has similar genetics to this 6 1/2 yr old buck whose shed graces the cover of our DVD. So yes if he eludes us for a couple more years, it might not be all bad. Truth is uncertanty is the deffinition of hunting. Ha!
