My 1st hand carved arm guard, tell me what you think.

I really didnt have a pattern just took things i like and put it down. This is my second leather carving, my 1st was my quiver. I used deer skin on the inside. So tell your thoughts good or bad..

Really like the lining. Everything looks great. Job well done. With that said, I do not like lace up arm guards. Just to much hassle. Prefer stretch cord loops with hooks or button attachments.

Good work, I would be very happy if I was you. I like the deer leather on the inside, nice touch.

Really nice.  You might want to make another for summer use.  I have always used a leather arm guard year around and like you decided to put taned elk skin on the inside of one my arm guards.  I was surprised at how hot it made it. Very uncomfortable in summer.

I posted that my armguard with taned elk skin was uncomfortable in summer but I put the suede side against my arm and that may have been the reason.  I see your deer skin has the slick side out.
