can someone who is savy with this program help me out. I got a navajo apache 62" 53 @28 I draw 27 3/4". Looks like the shelf about 1/8 from center. Got a 8 strand fastflight string on it. I want to shoot easton axis or cx heritage shafts with 300 gns up front . thats point weight not counting the insert.  I don't care how long but min of 28.5" What spine will get me in the ball park. Thanks in advance

Would believe and Easton Axis 340 would be a reasonable starting point.

Estimate a 29.5" arrow w/300 + 12 gn insert would yield ~612 grains.

Personal preference would be to target an Easton Axis 400 W/300 + 50 gn insert.

Axis would be 340 28.5"

Both arrows within a pound according to your stats

I shoot a Tomahawk diamond series bow that pulls 54# @ 27.5". It's cut 1/16" from center and I have a 1/16" thick side plate on it. I am currently shooting and getting perfect flight with a 400 spine carbon with 275 grain up front. I would think a 400 or 340 will be the ticket just depending on how long of an arrow you want. If you want to shoot the carbon express go with the 250 as it is a spine of 370 so it will be in-between the 340 and 400.

Don, I don't use the "calculator", I use my own experience with diff. bows and arrows....I personally think the .340 class shafts will be way too stiff unless you "want" a long arrow.

I believe, with your draw length, the way the bow is cut, the poundage, and I know you're a good shot so you have a good release.....with a .400 spine shaft you'll be able to keep your arrows to a reasonable length...

I have recently discover this program. I was lucky and already had my arrows tuned well. When I plugged my arrows the Dynamic Spine was spot on with the bow. When using the program make certain that all of you input is correct; ei. the 100 grain insert make for a much stiffer arrow, use the footing column. Sounds like like you have your shelf distance figured out. Keeping playing with Stu's Calculator and you will find it quite useful, not to mention the $$$ that can be saved by getting in the ball park from the beginning.
