German Kinetics Broadheads....gauging your interest

German Kinetics is making broadheads, I did not know that until recently.  I am thinking of picking some up and perhaps becoming a dealer.  What are your thoughts.

That is my favorite broadhead..the  original ones made by Markus in Germany. I would buy them.

From what I can tell Markus is still with the company but its under new ownership and Markus is on the board.

Price would be around $80 for a 3 pack.

They are a great broadhead, but in my opinion, way too expensive ($80 for a 3 pack).

In a heavy arrow setup out of my 42# bow, anything a SilverFlame broadhead can do, my STOS broadhead can do and I pay $26 for a 6 pack although STOS have been tough to find lately.

I agree with most here. Cool looking head, but for any game I'm hunting I don't see why a much cheaper head wouldn't suffice.

I had 3 given to me a few years back as a gift.  The sharpest things I had ever seen. You could hardly touch them without a cut. They held an edge like nothing I had ever seen.  Shoot them into a brick and they were still sharp- just amazing.  Amazing to see what a sharp head like that did on deer. Again- never seen anything like it.  I learned there was sharp, and then there was downright scary sharp!

With all that said- I bought a KME after that, wanting to learn how to get things that sharp. KME is as good as I have ever had- BUT I just never could get the Kinetics back to where they were when new.

Not in my league, but there were a few sponsors on TG that had them.  Guys sure seemed to buy them.

Scott, I think you and I talked about this a couple of weeks ago. I can buy 6 Ace SuperExpress broadheads from Mike Horton at $23. They are easy to sharpen,stay sharp, and really put the hurt on a deer. With that kind of performance at that price, I don't see how I could be compelled to shell out $80 for only 3 broadheads, regardless of how good they are.

BTW-I'm still waiting for Gavin's measurements so I can get started on her moccasins.

I raed somewhere the ones from China are not as well made but can't say for sure.

As a former Trad Shop owner...my customers always favored the Zwickey, Magnus, Snuffer heads....and the price range.

Not too many fellas out there with deep pockets that are willing to spend $80 for 3 heads when they can buy a 6 pack of good quality heads for roughly $26.

You probably will sell a few but be prepared to keep wiping the dust off the packages....JMO.

Super heads (at least the German ones were),  Pricey? Yes, but no different than dropping $1000 plus on a new custom bow when an old garage sale bow could get the job done.  Or buy hundreds of dollars worth of Sitka or Kuiu gear when some plaid wool will do (Ask Ryan Rothaar) Or.... you get the idea.

There was a time I would have, but not anymore.  VPA' s and Simmons for me now.  I did try the ABS ones and was not as impressed as I thought I would be, but they weren't German made either.

I got the XL samples from ABS in their "Garage Sale" and they hold an edge better than any broadhead I have shot (still sharp after targets, dirt, and a wounded coyote).  The XL with 1.5" blades seem like a good deer head, but I didn't want to pay $100 (on the XLs) plus shipping for 3, and plan on using VPAs again this year.

To answer your post, based on their following, as a US dealer of German Silver Flames you would get some orders, but can't say if it would be worth your while.

Been killing critters a long time with Bear Razorheads and Ace Standards. Have know need for an $80.00 per three broadhead. All depends on what your hunting, I suppose. If big boned, tough hided, African game is your thing, or money is know object, give'um a fling. Pay attention to what Joe Skipp says above, he has been there and done that. Good luck.
