How do you feed them the fish?  I would be afraid they would choke on a bone or something.  I shoot a lot of carp every summer and do have a few folks that take them off my hands and eat them and can them... but I sometimes get more than they need. I have tried to prepare them as I used to go to a local reataurant where I went to high school and they  made an out of this world carp sandwich. I know, it sounds weird and I have never seen them in another restaurant since. I have never been able to duplicate that sandwich.  I can't even figure out how to debone the carp and make them palatable.  I would like to use them to enhance my dog's diet though.  I have two bird dogs and a great dane that I'm sure would love to have a seafood dinner occasionally!
Thanks

In Minnesota we have a "season" on carp also, starts May 1st. I believe the reason for not allowing carp shooting earlier is to protect spawning game fish. Northern pike spawn in areas where carp are found in the spring, shallow swampy areas and I would guess a lot of eggs would be destroyed by people shooting carp in these areas.

It is frustrating this time of the year to see so many carp in the shallows and not be able to shoot!
