Quiver I made,Tell me what you think.
« on: March 14, 2012, 01:41:00 PM »

I took some oak scrap I have from a rack I'm building and took some second chance arrow holders and cut the screw off and epoxied them on. I then put on some double sided tape. Probably not for everybody, but I thought it was a sleek look. Tell me what you think.

I think it looks great except for the open heads, they need a cover for me. Maybe get a pair of the leather BH covers. Otherwise I think you did a great job.

Intersting and inovating, but I would be concerned about those exposed broadheads

I think you better rethink your design with a cup to be safer for you or the guys your with.I have seen guys cut out the bottom of bottles and put foam in them mounted.

Three Rivers has leather "Broadhead Sheaths" for 3-blade and "Final Stalkers" for 2-blades.

That looks sharp!

The 3-blade Bodkin-shaped scar through my leg reminds me that accidents are much more likely than we might think.

It really does look great, though.

Make some kind of hood or invest in a trauma kit.

You did a real nice job on that quiver.  It will be great having two hunting arrows at hand.  But I have to agree with the others, cover up those broadheads with some sort of protection.  Your family and friends will appreciate it.  We will too.

I made a couple of BH covers for 2 blades, from and old pair of boots. They are simular to the single stalkers that 3Rivers has. Not real pretty but functional  :wavey:    :campfire:

AT, your idea is novel, and works well with blunts, judos, bird points or fish points. We make a "mini clip" quiver that does that same thing. You're doing fine.

I really like your quiver for stumping with judo points, I think it would be great.

I would not want to use it for broadheads, but that may just be me.

Keep thinking outside the box!!! I like it.

Good job on the quiver. I posted on here the other day about a friend of mine almost bleeding to death before they got to the hospital. Many yrs ago you could buy quivers without covers. He had one and while stringing his bow the tip slipped out of his hand and one of the exposed broadheads cut an artery above his elbow.

So please be careful until you get them covered.

You reinvented the suicide quiver. Nice work, but please cover those exposed broadheads, because they didn't get the name for no reason.

Thanks for that Hoyt,I've got some nice leather left over from a quiver I made and I am making some cool covers right now.
