VPA two blade
« on: March 15, 2012, 03:10:00 PM »
Played with one the other day at a local shop. Only touched one but they feel extremely tough. The edge sharpness was a bit lacking but a guess a guy should know how the fix that issue. After playing with them I'll be ordering a half dozen for my caribou hunt this fall.

Anyone else play with them yet?

A friend of mine down under did some carcase testing on a water buffalo (they are pretty good at stopping arrows). Of the broadheads they were shooting, it was the only one that consistantly blew through both sides of the buff. Had to pick it up out of the dirt on multiple shots!

adamgti, if you give those VPA 2 blades a try, I think you'll be very impressed.  Remember, we offer a complete satisfaction guarantee if you're not happy with them.

I used the VPA 3 blades last year and were very happy with the results.  This year, I'm shooting the 175 2 blades and I have no doubt they'll work just as good.  I used my KME to sharpen them and they are scary sharp.  I love that KME!

Be on the lookout as we'll be announcing a glue on version of our 2 blades just as soon as we get them finished.  Probably be the end of spring/beginning of summer time frame, if not sooner.

Feel free to shoot me an e-mail at [email protected] if you have any questions.

I'm sitting here ready bows of the little delta and after playing with that VPA the other day I know I'll be giving them more then a try this fall on a caribou.

The 3 blade is a great broadhead. I shot one through a broadhead target and almost lost the 3 blade to a pine log onthe other side of the target.

One thing should be said. The VPA is one solid broadhead. Not only through performance but in feel too. When I picked it up I was impressed instantly.

You know that indistrictable feeling you get from a heavy carbon arrow and a footing, well that two blade made me feel the same way.

Great broadhead,
Can't wait to use them this fall.

With broadheads getting heavier and heavier - a good thing - I wish VPA made a two-blade screw-in of just 125 grains.

Howdy Ben, I was looking at some 150g two blade screw ins the other week at the expo. They look solid enough but from tip to back it had a very steep abrupt angle.

I think VPA make nice heads but they are not cheap. I do use there small game heads and I luv em. I was thinking of testing some 3 blade VPA's but at this stage I will sticking to  Blackstumps, Tuskers and Ribbies.

Shoot straight cheers Macca.

Glue on would be nice in some reasonable weights.  Heavy weight wood spines are tricky to find for us shooting heavy bows.
