Not perfect, but I finished my first batch of arrows. Most are shafts courtesy Magnus and the flu-flu is an experiment in handmaking a hickory dowel and fletching with craft-store feathers.
learned some good things while doing this:
1)Always sand well before staining.
2)Measure thrice and cut once (I'm a little more accident prone...)
3)Double check your cock feather location.
3)Wipe-on poly is your friend.
4)After putting glue on your fletching is not the time to realize you forgot to put the nock on the arrow.
6)Fingers are excellent surfaces for stain, sharpie and glue.
7)enjoy yourself.
These two are black spray paint over red stain that didn't really take (see point 1). I wanted to stain it black rather than paint, but the black stain wouldn't take at all. Always good to have a back-up plan.
