A new Zipper is closer to $700, Bob Lees bows will get ya there and are very nice and pretty good performers. There are many nice used bows out there that are like new and ya cabn pick up for 1/2 of new price. Shawn

I love my Kota Prairie Nomad.

Just curious. Why a three piece and not a two piece?

I would go for the Bob Lee.  Just as nice in craftsmanship as the high $$$ makers and you can up the options as well.  Not to mention, the customer svc is top notch.

My ACS is number one right now. And my Fedora Xtreme is current number two-you could get a Fedora 3 piece for 600 if you went with a fairly plain looking bow (none of them are plain looking anyway) LOL! If it were me I'd hit the ads.

I would go with the Horne's Takedown Hunter Longbow 575.00 for a basic bow. Your choice of two basic woods for the riser maple cores and basic wood  limb veneers. For the price you can't beat the craftmanship and shootability. You'll have a bow you'll be proud to show off at a reasonable price.

Make your own, a Binghams Pronounced made a little shorter shoots well.

Ernie McKenzie of Sapphire Traditional Archery made me a great bow.  You should check it out before you decide.  Mine is the one in the upper left of the first page on the moose antler. He makes great bows.

I have no experience with any 3 piece longbow except the A&H ACS CX.. I have owned many of the fine 3 piece recurves over the last (gasp) 35 or so years and this CX leaves nothing to be desired by me.. It's a wonderful bow made by great folks.. Try one, you won't be sorry..
