Dave Windauer -Schafer Silvertip does great checkering work-He did my Bruin. I shipped it to him and it was back to me in about 2 weeks.

That is an amazing checkering job!  Gorgeous bow!
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

NOBODY checkers a riser like Dave Windauer does. He has done 5 for me so far and I'm sending another to him next week.

Hey Dave...

You can put those pictures on here as often as you want, and I will never get tired of seeing them. What a bow...

Dave Windauer is the only man I know who does bow checkering at such a high level. You can put a bright light and magnifier on his work and it is essentially flawless.

The right skins...the right kind of checkering. Both can add huge appeal and value to a bow.

After looking at some of these grips...I have to say I am more impressed with Dave's work than any other I have seen...

If done properly...I love the look and the feel of fine checkering...and my eyes tell me that his work is impeccable..so...that has made up my mind to have him do the work...Having the chance to have it on a couple of my bows is heady stuff to me...I've never done that with any bow before..but many fine rifles & shotguns...

The problem will be choosing which project I want done first...but will have to wait till my new to me Fire Fly arrives..then I will know...but...till then..keep posting pictures up if you have them...seeing all of this is just wetting my appetite even more..and giving me plenty to choose from..
