How do you guys store your Bows ???

I have sold my house and fixing to close on a new one and will have my own man cave finally so I can keep all of my hunting stuff together instead of stuck everywhere. I was wondering how you guys store or hang your bows, I was lookng at a rack and I shoot my bows quite a bit so I leave them strung is it okay to hang them by the string like a hook on each end ?

Yes. You can also store them horizontally on pegs but this should be in Pow Wow, not here.

I hang mine unstrung in a bow sleeve on several wall racks and I also have a free standing floor rack that holds 12 bows.
I recommend the wall racks. The free standing floor rack tends to let bows fall if it bumped against so I have to strap them down with an elastic on the pegs for the bows.
I also keep them in a bow sleeve because Jack Harrison recommended it to keep the bows from oxidizing.

Out of sight where my wife won't see them!
Couldn't resist.

I store both of my recurves fully strung laying horizontally in a wall mounted bow rack.

I hang the strung ones, that I shoot frequently, by the string from cup hooks in the bottom of the cieling joists.

If I leave one strung, then I store it horizontally on wall pegs. Otherwise, I store them unstrung hanging vertically from a different line of wall pegs.

All of mine strung or unstrung hang from the top limb on a hanger system a buddy made me. It is a pine board with carbon arrows for hanging posts. I presently have 10 bows on the rack and it works great.

Whether strung or unstrung like this. Easy to make in a couple hours.

Bjorn, How do decide which one goes out on the Hunt? Very Nice folks. I unstring the few I have, put them in a bow sock and put them away, out of light and heat.

Store mine strung horizontally on my homemade bow rack. The bowsting carries the weight of the bow supported by wooden pegs at both ends.
