New Dwyer Original
« on: March 19, 2012, 02:46:00 PM »
After following the "D-bow appreciation thread" I had to see what all the hype was about.  I shot this bow at the WTA banquet back in February and my oldest daughter nicknamed it the "Robin Hood bow".  I'm a sucker for Dave's bows so I had to move on it.  It's 66" long, and 52#@28".  It's all bamboo limbs with a solid cocobolo riser, tips and overlays.  This is the quietest bow I've shot to date.  Just a soft thump and the sound of the rubber cat whiskers moving through the air.  Going to find some surewood shafts for her and hope to find a tent blind big enough for turkeys in a month.  Took some quick pics, enjoy.

Bob, seeing as the last bow I'd been shooting was a Centaur elite, my eyes are still adjusting to what's "quick"!

The Dwyers build a great bow,and that's a nice one.I believe I looked at that bow in Waterloo, because of the all bamboo limbs.

I have to say Dave makes a nice bow and had a chance to shoot one of his bows and they are very smooth bow.  I also had the opportunity to have dinner with Dave and his wife in Waterloo and are great people.  You can't go wrong with one of his bow.  They are truely nice people and the bows are nice too.

Leland, I'm sure you did.  Dave was going to ship it to me before Waterloo, but knowing that he was getting low on stock bows I offered to have him take the bow to the expo and ship it when he returned. What was a couple more days right?

Dwyers make great bows and good price. Some are dirt cheap second hand and I do not understand why. Solid great shooting bows.
