Terry,

Would you recommend a single bevel two blade or big multiblade heads for bumble bees?   :bigsmyl:

My appologies I couldn't resist.   :nono:

Great shoot'in Terry.  Just remember though, a Bumblebee can make a Bull jump a fence.  Be careful.  If you have never been stung by one, it's a fate you do not wish to experience.

That looks like a ton of fun. Add exterminator to your list of odd jobs. Terry's bee be gone service.

Tarz,

Really? I guess we have different ones. I used to catch them pollenating wild "morning glory" flowers and pinch the back shut, pop it off the bush, then shake it and throw it... they'd buzz like madmen (this was when I WAS 12) but on one occassion, I was moving when it came outa the flower and got nailed! Hurt like blazes!

Been told that the ones with a white DOT in their forhead can't sting. Never tempted to verifiy that!

Have you tried yellow jackets?  That might qualify for the Dangerous Game forum!

Yup those are the wood- borers.  Carpenter bees, not the same as bumble bees.  I have them assaulting my deck every year and I use a big rubber blunt. You can't always find them but you can hear it when you hit one.
Loads of fun.
