Ah-ha, I live for the fun of this auction, and the great good it does, although I get more and more less active each year (is that an oxymoron - or just bad English - LOL). Anyway, I am tickled it is time again to do our level best, each in their own ways, for the blessed children of St. Jude Research Hospital with our "little" annual auction. Of course, as usual it has snuck up on me and (thanks to Don Batten's call to arms to me this evening), I now know that I must get busy and catch up with getting my tub of little goodies out, get pictures taken and ready, and then get my offers posted (I just added about three more to them this weekend.
One note that may not be so welcome to some of our bidders/friends: my dear wife Rose has had a bad year with her thumb, wrists and elbows and has (as far as it stands now) not been able to complete any of her beautiful afghans for this year. she tried to do at least a baby one but I don't believe she has even been able to accomplish that. She is, in all other ways, fine, as am I (Thank you, Lord), but the aging process is taking it's toll in our joints and muscles. We still pledge to do the best we can - and I, in addition, to harass everyone endlessly and mercilessly -
Let's all have a ball, get more members into the auction and raise lots of research funds for the children of St. Jude. Bless you all, bless us all.
