Habu recurve. This is the bow that I don't have to think about anything to shoot well.  I think it is mostly the grip but it is also a 62" curve, one that resists me trying to wave it around when I shoot.

for years it has been my Habu...bought it around 1999.

I have a Robertson Stykbow I bought in 2010 from Dick and using it really for first time this year other than some backyard shooting.  So far that bow is a real sleeper...quiet...smooth....accurate. It is only 53# versus 60# on my Habu...but really pushes an arrow very nicely.  If this keeps up at end of year the Robertson Fatal Styk may unseat my Habu as my new go to bow...

For now...still my Habu.

I've gone thru a bunch of bows to get to the 5 go to bows listed in my sig line...I feel confident in picking up any of them at any given time and within a few arrows being happy with the results. But...there are SO many others I haven't tried yet  :biglaugh:

That's easy, my Kanati. It puts arrows where I point it. I don't have to think about it, nor does it matter how long I lay off from shooting it. I can pick it up and shoot well, no matter what. I have other bows I like, but if I could only have one,    :scared:  , it would be my Kanati.
Kanati 58" 44# @ 28" Green glass on a green riser
Bear Kodiak Magnum 52" 45# @ 28"
Bodnik Slick Stick longbow 58" 40# @ 28"
Bodnik Kiowa 52" 45# @ 28"
Kanati 58" 46# @ 28" R.I.P (2007-2015)
Self-made Silk backed Hickory Board bow 67" 49# @ 28"
Bear Black Bear 60" 45# @28"

I always seem to come back to my Red Wing Hunter.  I have a bunch of other bows, but when I pick up the Wing it feels like I've come home.

I bought the bow new in 1972 and used it for years, but then it sat on the shelf because it was too heavy for me.  My son (JJB) lowered the weight and refinished it for me last winter, and I can hardly wait to take it turkey hunting this spring.

I have to laugh cuz my go to bow changes every couple months within my small collection of Wes Wallace bows. I have been shooting my longbows exclusively for the past 5-6 weeks and put my recurves on the rack. I just got back from the PBS 50th Anniversary Banquet in Portland Oregon last night. I finally met Wes face to face. I told him how much I love his bows and this year I was going to shoot the longbow and dedicate my time to hunting with them this year. I told him they have been shooting very well for me. This morning I picked up my recurves for giggles and shot them so well I just wanted to scream. That is my well, not to be confused with any champion shooter which I'm not. Anyway, my go to bow is now my B-model recurve, 56" 61#@28" cuz it does everything I would ever need it to do and does it well. From tight spots to long shots it does it with authority in a small package. I guess I would never want to give up any of the bows I have but this one would be the last from my fingers, besides it is absolutely beautiful as well.

Firefly.  If it were really on the line, that's the bow I'd take.  That said, I don't shoot it very often!  I'm faithful to my wife, and really, really sleazy with bows.    ;)

I have two go to bows, a right hand Pierce Point 52@26 Robertson longbow and a left hand 52@26 myrtle on myrtle Robertson longbow. I have a bunch of Hill style bows that I also shoot, but to be honest the forgiveness and the power for the pounds in the Robertsons makes it hard to not just use them for hunting these days.

I like to shoot different bows but I have the most confidence in my Robertson Purist longbow. It's been my go to for about 15 years. But I am in the process of ordering a Blacktail so things could change. Maybe

You know its your go to bow when you feel guilty when you have a different bow in the forest with you... Makes me feel like i'm cheating on her!
