I just finished reading "Tigrero" for the umpteenth time.Sasha Siemel was the Tigero that killed over 300 jaguars in the Matto Grasso of Brazil. He was famous for taking most with the spear but he also used a self bow for some. This was in the 1930's and'40's.

Some of the jaguars approached 400 lbs and a few were true man killers.

In the 1943 "Ye Sylvan Archer",John L Yount, reported that Sasha applied to the NFAA Big Game Committee for a big game award for this caiman he took with his bow and two arrows.
