Ariel target fun
« on: March 26, 2012, 09:59:00 AM »
It was a beautiful Sunday here in western SD.  The boys have been bugging me to go out show them how to shoot ariel targets.  So off we went.

Started them out at regular distances, they found out how difficult it can be.  So I moved into 5 yards and threw them some easier targets.  Slowly increased the distance out to 15-20 yards depending on how the wind decided to blow the disks.  Added some rolling rabbit targets into the mix

I tried out my new Raven Styk recently purchased used here on Tradgang.  I fell into a great rhythm with it.  I think I am going to like this hybrid bow thing.

My oldest son was shooting a longbow a good friend graciously decided to build for him.  With his help of course.

My youngest was shooting an old Bear Black Bear.

Wife declined to shoot, but happily took on the role of designated thrower.  A good time was had by all!

Inquiring minds.......

Looks like fun.
You can hop but you can't hide.
If it was not for rabbits I would never get a buck.
