Cutting aluminum arrows
« on: March 26, 2012, 10:49:00 PM »
New to Trad. Archery and was wondering what people are using to cut their aluminum arrows.

I am thinking about a simple pipe cutter.

Any advice would be welcomed and much appreciated.

Thanks, Craig

Craig

You will get more ansewers on the PowWow fourum.

But yes this will work just take it slow to keep from crimping ends. A high speed cutter is used mostly, like a cut off saw from Harbor Frieght this will cut aluminumn, carbon and wood.

I don't shoot aluminums anymore, but I still cut them to foot my carbons.  A tubing cutter is what I use and it works fine.
