bear archery expert??

I have a bear kodiak mag that never did have any serial numbers on it. I took it to the Ky tradfest and nobody could really tell me what year it was. it has a stamped star 40# 52" it has the alum coin but very narrow limb tips grayling green glass overlay. I was told it could be made in 1960 and sent to dealers for a demo bow before the kodiak mags ever came out??I will try to post pics on here as soon as possible.

You should move/post this in the collector area to have a better chance that the 'experts' see it. A pic will help too.

Yes, post a picture. The Grayling green was only used on the 61 Model. Most were prone to having a lot of stress lines in the glass that year.

Aluminum coin was from 1960-1961, and nickel-silver coin 1971-1972, then in 1972 it was raised above the surface of the bow and came in both gold and chrome covered plastic.

Grayling green - 61
Aluminum coin - 60-61
Star stamp - factory refinish
Sometimes after a factory refinish they removed the serial number. Many theories on why. The one that comes to mind now is warranty replacement. Then the returned bow was refinished and resold at a discount or gifted.
