Pretty Cool Silvertip
« on: April 02, 2012, 09:40:00 PM »
Well, after much anticipation, my new Silvertip longbow by Dave Windauer was delivered today..as you know, I am a rabid Schafer bow fan. This bow took some time to design, as it mirrors my recurve. Anyhow, the cool thing about the bow is that I had Dave incorporate my now deceased Dads' 1950's camo pants into the bow limbs..As my Dad was instrumental in my love of archery and the outdoors. Dave worked his magic, as always, and added bighorn sheep overlays, and tips, bocote accents, and a low checkered grip. The bow also has Paul Schafers' famous quote scribed on the upper limb. To top the bow off, I had Kim Jessop at Thunderhorn MFG. custom make me a Boa quiver with the same camo material as the insert..And of course it shoots like a Mutha!

I have the matching recurve to this longbow now,and they are both the same weight. They have the same feel, making it easy to switch back and forth.
