Kids Bow Suggestion

My son has a kids bow that pulls 18lbs at 20 inches. Well now he draws 24 inches and says the weight is light. Can anyone make some suggestions on how much weight to move up to and what bows to consider.

I am in the same position. Interested in others experiences also. Thinking about going for a light poundage adult short bow.

My daughter has a St. Joe River Bows longbow. 48" 19@24. We love it! The quality is great and SJRB is great to work with and they love helping kids get into trad archery/bowhunting. The price is more than fair for what you get.

You should check out Maddog. Mike is a sponser on here and you will not get more bow for the money than a "pup".

Get in touch with sponsor Chuck Jones of Black Rhino Bows. He is great at matching up kids with the right bow.

x3 on the Mad Dog. Mike is a great guy and will treat you right. He's a sponsor here, give him a call and explain what you need. He'll make it work right!

how old and how big is he? if he is 11 or 12 and fairly husky he will probably outgrow it before the summer is out. If you are on a budget Rudderbows has inexpensive hickory longbows in the 20-30 range.

I would go with a ST. JOE RIVER youth bow. If they do not have one in stock they can make it up. Dave and Tracy are really good to work with.

I've heard nothing but good things about Maddog, but my 11 year old daughter has a St. Joe River just like Pokerdaddys little girl has and she loves it...
Great price and they probably have some in stock.
