U finish bow?
« on: April 09, 2012, 08:14:00 PM »
I was looking for a good and affordable U finish long bow. What is your favorite site for one?
Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.

Mark Horne at Hornes archery has a great one. Long bow or recurve, video guide along and the bow looks and shoots great.

Yeah the 7 Lakes guy is a really helpful fellow.  I have been looking at one of his HILL STYLE blanks and he will basically help you as much as you need him.  He even invites you to send him pics of where you are if you get stuck on something and call him.

When I get the spare money together I am going to give him a call.

I've done both HH from Craig and Hill style from 7 Lakes.  I'm quite pleased with the finished product from both.  Mike at 7 Lakes has lots of options and is great to work with.  Either way is an excellent way to get a custom Hill bow for a nominal amount of money, plus the fun of finishing it yourself.  Mike also has a d/r style if you prefer that.
And in the end of our exploring we shall return to the place where we started and know that place for the first time.

I did one from Apex Predator....not sure if he still offers one.
