It happened
« on: July 28, 2007, 08:02:00 PM »
My son and I shoot as musch as possilbe between business trips.  When we are not shooting we are messing with bows or arrows. My 4 year old daughter even joins in on occasion but likes to "help" more.

A couple of weeks ago my wife wanted to shoot but all the bows are correct meaning that they are for left handers as that is what my son and I are.  She is wrong, right handed, but could shoot one of his bows left handed.

Long story short, she woke up this AM and said she wanted a bow!  After all the bows she has let me get how could I or even why would I say no.  We just got back from getting a 30# starter for her.

And so it begins for another poor soul.

I am shure she will be talking trash soon.

So.......

The two month old is on a bouncy seat on the porch watching mommy shoot.

Mommy on her first outing has flung over 50 arrows and can no longer pull the string back to anything resembling an anchor point.  She says she will come in when she "gets" it.

I tried to let her know that it would take more than a night and she better stop or she would not be able to move her arm tomarrow.

On a good note no arrows lost!

My wife is my only traditional shooting buddy.  And yes, she talks trash because she shoots an Osage self bow and I like glass laminated recurves.  You should have heard her when I was still shooting compounds.  I quit shooting infront of her!

Glad your wife is enjoying it.I couldn't get my wife to shoot with me untill I took her to the Twin Oaks shoot this past May. Now sometimes when I get home from work she is already flinging arrows.I've bought her two bows since then.Makes it easier when I need a new one.  :bigsmyl:  She also thinks she should be as good as me after just two months. What has me worried is sometimes she is.  :biglaugh:
