The only bow I've hunted with for the past 5 years is my Liberty English...absolutely love it!  I've said that my next new bow will be a string follow design.

Allen, you've really gone and done it now!

Allen, how about more pics of the belly and back veneers and those tips and overlays! Any chance you will attend Compton's this year?

Looks like it a natural extension of the archer.  Pure simplicity and grace.  Oh boy, the wait times are going jump now.

Dave:

Most of the turkeys around here seem to stay down in the valley.  We do have a couple of hens hanging around the house though, so there might be some Tom's coming in the future!

Mike:

I doubt that I can make it back to Compton's this year, but would like to sometime in the near future.  Last time I checked they had a vendor waiting list so I probably wouldn't be able to display anyway.
PS, I didn' post the pics, Bob did that for me.  I'll be adding some more to my website in the near future and these bows will be included.

Thanks Allen. I'll watch for those. Compton's has a new vendor coordinator as of last year I think. Maybe they have more room now?

Allen,
Do you plan to offer "tempered bamboo limbs"?
Larry   :archer:

P.S.:
How much string follow will these bows have?
It looks like about 1/2"-3/4".

Larry:

I'd have to do some research to see where I can find tempered bamboo.  That might be a good option to consider in this and my English model.  And, "real bamboo" sure would look nice under clear glass.

Laying a straight edge on the belly side of the bow and intersecting the top and bottom string groves the string follow is about an inch.

Allen,
Thanks for the reply.

P.S. I have a couple of Northern Mist Sheltons, (string follow Hill style bows) in tempered bamboo. Smooth on the draw and peanut butter brown colored limbs. Two of my fav's

Lookin foreward to trying this one out.
Target archery is seeing how far away you can get and still hit the bull's eye. Bowhunting is seeing how close you can get and never miss your mark.

Allen, I have always been a fan of your workmanship and in fact look to your bow work as the standard to live by. You have outdone yourself with this bow though. I believe a bow that looks that great has to shoot that great. Nice job!!!

God bless you, Steve

I put a few arrows through this new string follow and it is accurate and stable.  Typical Boice quality craftsmanship.  When I returned it to Allen this past weekend he showed me a REFINED version.  The limbs were much slimmer and the limb tips were much narrower with a petite yew overlay on black glass.  The riser was ebony, core was carmalized bamboo, riser had yew overlays front and back. The bow was on it's way to the new owner so I was not able to shoot it. The bow was absolutely stunning.  The grip has been slimmed down as well. Overall slimmer, trimmer and more beautiful. Maybe we will see some pic on the website ( I hope) or the new owner will share with us if he visits here. Whoever you are you have a stunning weapon on it's way.
