Long story short, my wife and I just closed on our new house yesterday, and after a few times of unsucessful hunting trips I happened to just walk in the woods behind the house and about 100 from the back door I saw some turkey sign, and a few minutes later I heard a gobble I though this is too good to be true I then heard him 3-4 more times, I called the bossman at work and said lets switch so I could come in at 9:00 I was set up in the woods at 6:05 double bull my brand new tall tines that I picked up from michigan and my full body mount strutting decoy my friend sells. the bird probably gobbled 30-40 times and thena hen came right by me clucking away and the gobbling stopped I though my hunt was over until the tom sw my turkey decoy I moved the turkey with the pulley system and he was on a B-line heading straight for me he left the hen to square off with the jake. I filmed with my phone as long as I could then dropped it and shot the VPA blew through hime he ran 40 yards or so and was done. This was my first turkey kill ever. The bird weighed 19 pounds had a 11" beard and 1 1/4" spurs
Bow 60" 52# Tall tines with 565 grain easton axis tipped VPA 1 1/8" cut.
I have picks and a video on my phone if anyone would be kind enough to post them I would appreciate it I cant get them to load from the I-Phone.
