This morning I had about 30 minutes to try out the Rainy Day Bow.
So, I grabbed a bunch of mixed matched arrows, AD Trads, Carbon Express 6075 Hunters, Beeman 5070s, and some 65# Spined Woodies.
For those of you that know me, I have no bows under 60# draw weight and like bows closer to 80#s.
I was curious to see what would work best out of a 44# bow.
These shots were taken "cold" no warm up. From 15 yards. Oh, I set the brace at 8 1/2, did not adjust the noch, and shot 3 under (as I am thinking about going from split to 3 under)
Also, I did not pick woods, then carbons, etc. Whatever I got my hand on, I shot. Different arrows, different weights and different spines.
So, the arrows should be all over the place, right????
Here was the first volley. You will notice the first 5 or so, were all over the place. Then the next 10 got closer and closer together.
Here are the first few wild arrows removed. See the group got tighter and tighter.
Then, I went and shot just my woodies.
Then, I stepped back to 22 yards and shot another woodie. And, after this shot, I called it a good round.
My review????
Very nice shooting bow. Very forgiving of any kind of arrow. Plenty of speed and cast as these arrows are mostly 600 gr(+/-). Smooth in draw, no stack (but I don't really register stack very well on a 44# bow).
The riser mass was very nice and cut to center(ish). I am a low wrist grip guy but this grip was just dandy.
