I went to Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear today to try out some heavy arrows for a friend.
It was a mistake. I walked out with an ACS CX, 52#@28", 64" long, 7-1/8 Brace height.
I had to do it, since I had a dozen bare shafts that I could tune to fit it. Logical, right?
The shafts are Axis ST 300s. With a 2.5" 2016 footer, bare shafts cut to 30.5", I get a back of broadhead length of 30.25". With the Dauntless 265 grain heads, 100 grain threerivers brass inserts and a 1/2" setscrew to complete the adapter they weigh in at 750 grains exactly.
The arrows fly like lasers with 3 2-1/8 shield cut fletches.
Now all I have to do is learn to shoot it.
