no leather wrap on Hill style bow
« on: July 29, 2007, 07:03:00 PM »
Hey guys I wanted some input. Steve Turay(Northern Mist longbows) is making me a Shelton longbow and I was concidering not having him put a leather wrap on it. I know I like the feeling on my recurves of just the bare woods and thought this might be a good thing on a Hill style bow. Also I could enjoy more of the beautiful riser wood(lignum vitae)!I find when I was shooting my other Hill style bows that my bow hand would get irritated after along shooting session. Whats your thoughts and has anyone ever choose this option. I know I had a 21st Century Edge that had no wrap. Thanks Paul
